    park city gay ski week

Elevation Utah is returning to Park City for its 15th Annual Gay Ski Week February 19–24, 2025.

Elevation was founded by Tom Whitman 22 years ago at Mammoth Lakes, California with the goal of bringing friends together old and new. A little goes a long way, and well, with the Elevation group, a lot goes a long way as well!”

    “Plan in advance,” said Miller.

The city’s free electric bus system will get you where you need to go around the centre of town.

    • Peaks hotel – The official host hotel and always the first to fill up. The event is most fun when you meet some interesting people early in the weekend, ski with them the next day, and then hang out with them again later in the weekend.

Park City, Deer Valley, and The Canyons all together form about 250 km Ski & Snowboard runs up to an altitude of 3.050 meters.

    • Park City is the largest ski and snowboard resort in the country, with 41 lifts serving an astounding 348 trails. All the events are fun, especially the après ski and evening events. “Think glow in the dark face paint for the neon party or a brightly colored neon bandana.

Whether you attend one or all, you’re sure to have a great time!

For details and event tickets visit Elevation Utah’s website. Elevation is about friendship and community. Plus, you can ski straight from the town lift.”

Finally, from the founder himself, Whitman, “Stay at one of our host hotels if you can, because it will be more concentrated with Elevation attendees.

Plan it all in advance with a private tour.

    • If you don’t ski, a trip on The Quicksilver Gondola is worth the ride just for the view. Everyone is really friendly and outgoing so don't be afraid to say hello and strike up a conversation.”

Now I leave it to you to help brighten up winter at Elevation Utah!

  • Park City and Canyons is the largest destination ski resort in the country with 7,300 skiable acres.
  • The skiers-only Deer Valley is known for its uncrowded, pristinely groomed trails.

That’s how you end up making lifelong friends.”

“The best restaurants in Park City fill up quickly,” Miller said. It’s no slouch in terms of size, either, as it features 24 lifts that service 123 different trails.

For many visitors, however, the skiing is just the start of what makes this week special, as après-ski events, entertainment, art galleries and dance parties give participants a chance to mingle (Read: Beyond the Ski Slope).

    And there’s a piano bar.

  • Tupelo – Globally inspired and artisanal sourced food that tells a story, from chef Matt Harris.
  • Firewood – Heirloom American food, and the hook is that the full menu is cooked over wood fire.
  • Stop at High West Saloon, the world’s only ski-in distillery in the heart of Park City’s historic downtown
  • Popular Venues during Utah Ski Week

    • Downstairs –  Bustling, high-energy dance club with chic, contemporary decor featuring DJs & a cocktail bar.
    • Rockwell –  Swank, dimly lit Western-meets-Victorian speakeasy serving up craft cocktails & live music.
    • Cabin Lounge – Relaxed haunt featuring brews, bites & live-music nights in comfy brick-&-wood digs with a patio.

A colorfully clad group of riders convene at OPark City Mountain Resort for a group photo on Feb.

22, 2025. It’s no slouch in terms of size, either, as it features 24 lifts that service 103 different trails.

    Other Activities

    • Take a winter zip tour mid-mountain above Park City Mountain Resort with Flying Eagle Zipline for an 800-foot-long ride through the treetops near the Red Pine Lodge area or soar 2,111 feet between Lookout Peak and Red Pine Lodge.

This is a great opportunity to explore the mountain with locals.

A highlight of Gay Ski Week is the après ski scene. They don't take reservations, so you need to go put your name in about 1.5 to 2 hours in advance then go have a drink nearby.”

“If you get the chance to ride/ski with Tom Whitman, he is always doing fun photoshoots and getting attendees involved,” Manelski said.

“Join him if you are able!”

“Folks coming for the first time should try to book accommodations close to the action in Park City,” said Bogin.
