It currently holds the title of the oldest gay bar in New Jersey. Located in South Amboy, this venue opened in 2023 and has proved to be a big success. Since opening, Georgies has been committed to creating a space where everyone feels welcome, without judgment. Coffee shops like the LGBTQ-owned & operated Inkwell Coffee House provide cozy spots for community members to gather and enjoy local art and music.
For outdoor enthusiasts, the annual Jersey Gay Pride OurFest combines the beauty of the great outdoors with the spirit of Pride, offering hiking, camping, and various outdoor adventures.
Pride celebrations, such as Jersey Pride in Asbury Park and the Newark Gay Pride, are flagship events that feature parades, musical performances, and outreach opportunities. It is an ideal location for a weekend getaway from New Jersey, Philly, or New York City. This is perfect for a summer night out to have a fun time while enjoying the warm air.
